Design Your Life is a program developed by Stanford University design educators that applies the Design thinking methodology to the questions of life and vocation. After having helped thousands of students change the way they live through their course at Stanford, the authors published their methodology, and cases in their book “Designing Your Life: How to Build a Well-lived, Joyful Life”.
Pablo Izaga will be running a workshop in which Harvard students will have the opportunity to collectively engage with the DYL framework and tools. Through several hands-on activities, each participant will reflect on their life and vocation, gain some insights, and identify opportunities to advance their career.
Some of the topics that will be covered are:
- How to integrate your life view into your work
- Identify what parts of your work as a graduate student you find more engaging / energizing
- Generate ideas about future professional pathways (within your discipline, and beyond)
- Imagine your possible lives for the next years
- Learn tips in the process of looking for and applying for jobs
