"The RCC is a center of encounter and exchange for Spanish students, researches and faculty at Harvard. The possibilities are enormous", according to Daniel Sánchez Mata, Faculty Director of the Center. This was made evident during the RCC 2021/2022 Academic Year Inauguration ceremony where RCC Fellows, including students, postdoctoral researchers and faculty presented their projects they will be embarking in during this academic course at Harvard.

Joaquin Goyache, the 347th Rector of the Complutense University of Madrid has visited us as part of his first official visit to Harvard University. The reason for the visit has been the inauguration of our academic year. As it is known, the Rector is the President of our institution jointly with the President of Harvard, Larry Bacow JD ’76, MPP ’76, PhD ’78.

The Jury of the Princess of Asturias Award in Social Sciences 2018, gathered in the city of Oviedo on May 30th, 2018. Chaired by Carmen Iglesias Cano, Professor of the History of Ideas and Political Regimes at Complutense University, the Jury decided to grant the Princess of Asturias Award in Social Sciences 2018 to Michael J. Sandel, the Anne T. and Robert M. Bass Professor of Government Theory, of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Harvard University.
