Job #1

The Sr Global Experience Advisor works collaboratively with the Associate Director of Global Market Research and Sponsored Programming to understand the economic and employment landscape, especially as it relates to college recruiting. The Sr Global Experience Advisor will analyze and identify skill gap challenges for employers in targeted countries to help strategically position Northeastern as a global talent solution provider. The Sr Global Experience Advisor will also identify foreign company’s tools and techniques to assess talent and aptitude in order to understand how these companies leverage their assets to better place Northeastern students into international co-ops. The Sr Global Experience Advisor will maintain relationships with established employers. He or she will conduct student workshops on resume writing, interviewing techniques and the effective use of relevant database and technologies. The Sr Global Experience Advisor also advises students on study abroad opportunities (faculty led and traditional), the application process, and assists with coordinating program logistics at home and abroad. 

The position also assists with developing and organizing information sessions, orientations, re-entry workshops, and other events for prospective applicants and alumni. This person will collaborate with other offices, clubs, faculty, and international partners to promote GEO’s programs and services, and oversee office collaborations with various student groups and student workers to provide peer support for NU students. The Sr Global Experience Advisor will also handle special projects as assigned by Associate Director and Director. Some evening and weekend events will be required. Additionally, the Advisor may be required to participate in domestic travel for conferences and international travel for site visits.

Job #2:

The Global Experience Office (GEO) seeks a qualified candidate to organize, promote and advise students on its international co-op opportunities and study abroad programs. The Global Experience Advisor works collaboratively with the Sr Global Experience Advisor and Co-op Faculty Coordinators to pre-screen, select and schedule meetings with students interested in international co-op assignments. The Advisor advises students individually and in-groups to make preliminary assessments about their cultural preparedness, language abilities, basic travel experience etc.
