The Gaza War and its effects on the regional order in the Middle East

Date:

Thursday, March 7, 2024, 6:00pm to 7:00pm

Location:

RCCHU Conference Room, 26 Trowbridge St, Cambridge, and over Zoom
The Hamas terrorist attacks on Israel on October 7 and Israel's destructive military response in Gaza have once again placed the Middle East region at the center of the news. Israel's clashes with Hezbollah in Lebanon and the irruption of the Huthi militias in the regional chessboard attacking the maritime traffic in the Lebanese Red Sea, or the attacks of the Iraqi pro-Iranian militias on the US troops, raise fears of a regional conflict that could be catastrophic. How did we get here? What are its effects on the regional order?
