Fostering Sustainable Development Strategies in Cross-Border Cooperation Scenarios: Case Studies from the EU Borderlands

Date:

Tuesday, January 23, 2024, 5:00pm to 6:00pm

Location:

RCCHU Conference Room, 26 Trowbridge St.

Cross-Border Cooperation (CBC) has increased significantly in recent decades, mainly within European territories. This era of collaborative planning has given rise to numerous CBC projects and strategies. As these initiatives unveil dynamic interactions and relationships, their influence extends across various fields. Contextually, to fulfill their purpose of fostering sustainable development and growth, the principles and directions of these projects must be regularly evaluated and, if necessary, redefined to mitigate potential negative impacts. Recognizing the multidisciplinary nature of the process and considering the current European landscape, it becomes imperative to thoroughly study, analyze, and assess all relevant themes involved, aiming to discover innovative solutions for common challenges. In this context, both CBC projects and strategies, as well as research conducted in European territories, will be explored and deliberated upon.
