RCC is pleased to announce the Eighth Summer Seminar on Sociological and Political Research, organized by the Spanish Center for Sociological Research (CIS).
The Centro de Investigaciones Sociológicas (CIS)-RCC-Harvard Seminar on Sociological and Political Research is an initiative to gather young researchers –coming mostly from Spanish Universities- with more senior ones who develop their activity in the best USA Universities: Harvard, MIT, Yale, Princeton, Stanford, Columbia, Georgetown, UC Berkeley, Minnesota, and so on-.
The Seminar consists in lectures by senior and junior US academics, who present and discus their last pieces of work with young researchers. The later also have the chance to present and discus their work with selected professors. The main idea is to foster academic debate on the most up to date contributions on Sociology and Political Science, paying special attention to their methodological approaches.
The 8th CIS-Harvard Seminar (August 3rd – 7th, 2015) will focus on the relevance of social networks, hosting the best experts on this field. With this initiative the Centro de Investigaciones Sociologicas (CIS) fosters the interaction of first class academics with young ones, providing an outstanding framework for future academic relationships in sociological and political research.
