Zadig Experience is an educational start-up founded in 2016 by Teach For All’s Alumni that empowers youth in a challenging moment: what to do after high school. It is concerned with academic guidance and employability. The unemployment rate in Spain is still high, currently around 19%. The students coming out of high school typically have no idea of all the academic opportunities they have, the different degrees they can study and they are still unqualified to take the jobs currently available. Moreover, key statistics show that in Spain 1 every 5 students drop out of university.

Zadig’s team has devised a unique Interrail journey in Europe that helps students, ages 14 to 18, understand their skills and passions through peer learning, personal mentoring and activities with inspirational organizations and professionals. It gives them a better chance to succeed and give them an extra set of skills to use in their life, college, and jobs. They take in some culture as well as the training to help better relate to their future co-workers and consumers.

This documentary and debate will be of interest to all educators and policymakers focused on improving the system by giving more impactful and sustainable support to secondary and high-school students who are confused about their future academic and professional opportunities.
