Xavier Laguarta Soler is a Master in Business Administration Candidate at Harvard Business School. His goal at Harvard is to develop his entrepreneurial skills and complement his engineering background to succeed in the Spanish and European start-up and venture capital ecosystem.

Before coming to HBS, Xavier’s professional experience has been in strategy consulting at L.E.K. Consulting and SYSTEMIQ, a climate-focused advisory and investment firm. His recent work was in developing emissions and waste-measurement tools for the Norwegian government.

Prior to this, Xavier co-founded InAGlobe Education, a non-profit organization in collaboration with Imperial College London that aims to redirect innovation and development through educational institutions and their students. This work was mainly focused in developing relationships with NGOs and social enterprises in Mozambique and Kenya.

Xavier obtained his bachelor and masters degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Imperial College London, where he focused on low-power sensors. During this time, he interned as a software engineer at Telefonica and Medtronic, where he developed software for medtech applications.

Born in Atlanta, US, Xavier has lived in Spain, Greece, Switzerland, and the UK before moving to Cambridge. He enjoys skiing during the winter and playing tennis during the warm Spanish summers.
