Teacher Associate in Landscape Architecture at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design
Verónica Cruz-Alonso is a postdoctoral researcher in ecosystem restoration and Teaching Associate in Landscape Architecture at the Graduate School of Design, University of Harvard. She studied Forestry Engineering and Environmental Sciences and after that she specialized through a MSc. in ecosystem restoration. Her PhD focused on Mediterranean forest recovery and restoration in old fields. Currently her research is focused on forest resilience under the new perturbation regimes linked to global change and the influence of modified landscapes on forest recovery, in order to learn how to successfully restore forests. Further from ecosystem restoration, she is especially interested in general forest ecology and hydrology and ecosystem multifunctionality.
