She studied Forestry Engineering and Environmental Sciences and after that she specialized through a MSc. in ecosystem restoration. Her PhD focused on Mediterranean forest recovery and restoration in old fields. Currently her research is focused on forest resilience under the new perturbation regimes linked to global change and the influence of modified landscapes on forest recovery, in order to learn how to successfully restore forests.
