Manuel is a PhD candidate and Assistant Professor at the Department of Research and Psychology in Education, Faculty of Psychology, Complutense University of Madrid, Spain.


Born in Lugo (Galicia, Spain), Manuel moved to Madrid, where he obtained both, his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and his Master's Degree in Educational Psychology, at the Complutense University of Madrid.

 

His research interests focus on university teaching and learning processes in higher education. He is currently working on conceptualising the meaning behind "good" professor(s) and "good" student(s), as well as their interactions. He also conducts research on educational methodologies, academic emotions, and university engagement.

He obtained a predoctoral fellowship from the Complutense University of Madrid and the Real Colegio Complutense at Harvard University. Now, as Assistant Professor he is a visiting researcher at the Department of Psychology at Harvard Faculty of Arts and Sciences.
