José Luis López Guillén, a native of Valencia (Spain), is a highly qualified Pediatrician and a Visiting Research Fellow linked to Boston´s Children´s Hospital Department of Cardiology at Harvard Medical School. With a sense of vocation to become a Pediatric Cardiologist from an early age, he has developed extensive knowledge in the study, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of major cardiac diseases in children during his elective training.

 

Over time, his research and academic background in the field of pediatric cardiovascular diseases with a focus on inherited cardiomyopathies have been fully documented. He has thereby conducted notable original scientific research and has participated in national and international congresses with some distinctions as well has also driven this learning passion while collaborating with the European Academy of Pediatrics. His career aspirations have also resulted in the completion of a Master´s Degree in Pediatric Cardiology and a strong interest in clinics that will be totally developed after being accepted as a future Fellowship in the Division of Pediatric Cardiology at the Hospital for Sick Children (Toronto).

 

José Luis holds a Bachelor´s degree in Medicine from University of Valencia with high academic performance. He is a recipient of a Research Fellowship from the Spanish Association of Pediatrics at the UCL Centre of Rare and Inherited Cardiovascular diseases (Great Ormond Street Hospital, London). Finally, he has been elected as a Junior Editor for The European Journal of Pediatrics with particular dedication in the Cardiology scope.
