Daniel Pérez Cremades
Daniel holds a BSc in Biology from the University of Valencia. He completed his MSc and PhD in Physiology (international mention, with honors) from the University of Valencia under the supervision of Dr. Carlos Hermenegildo. His work was focused in the role sex hormones in endothelial function, specifically the regulation of microRNAs expression profile in endothelial cells exposed to estradiol. During his PhD, Daniel was Postgraduate Fellow in the Department of Pharmacology at Yale University under the supervision of Dr. William C. Sessa. As a result of his research, he has published nine articles in peer-reviewed journals. Daniel has attended international conferences, seminars and specialized courses, and he has teaching experience at different universities. Currently, he is working on the influence of miRNAs in response to injury in ischemic cardiovascular diseases, particularly those affecting angiogenic function.
