Asier Minondo

Visiting Scholar at the Harvard Department of Economics

Asier Minondo is Professor of Economics at Deusto Business School, where he has taught since 1995. He was Chair of the Economics Department from 2009 to 2018. Currently, he is the lead researcher of the research group on Competitiveness and Economic Development at Deusto Business School and Associate Editor of Applied Economic Analysis. Prof. Minondo will join the Harvard Department of Economics as a Visiting Scholar beginning in April of 2022.

Asier Minondo’s research lines are international trade, countries and regions’ economic diversification processes, and the variables affecting the flow of knowledge. His research has been published in journals such as the Review of Economics and Statistics and Economic Geography.

Asier Minondo received his BA and PhD in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Deusto in 2003 and 2008, respectively. He is also MPhil in Development Studies from Sussex University.
