Alba Carrillo is a general health psychologist from Spain. She holds a MA in Advances in Research and Psychological Treatments in Psychopathology and Health, and a MA in General Health Psychology.

She obtained her international PhD in December 2018 with her thesis “My Best Self: efficacy and underlying mechanisms of a Positive Psychology Intervention”. During her pre-doctoral period, she worked in the Labpsitec (Laboratory of Psychology and Technology) research group, with a competitive scholarship funded by the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports. In addition, she received funding to conduct two international stays in various research groups. First, she was a visiting researcher in Twente University (The Netherlands) with Ernst Bohlmeijer and Linda Bolier in 2016. Then, she visited the Centre for Positive Psychology in the University of Melbourne (Australia) with Dianne Vella-Brodrick in 2017.

She has also more than 120 hours of teaching experience at the University of Valencia, and more than 5 years of clinical experience as a therapist. She has published several papers and contributed to both national and international congresses.

Her research interests lie in the field of Positive Psychology and the study of wellbeing and positive emotions. More specifically, she focuses on the use of Information and Communication Technologies to deliver and enhance Positive Psychology Interventions to different population targets, in order to help people flourish
