Francisco Barroso

Francisco Barroso is an MBA Candidate at Harvard Business School. He is passionate about entrepreneurship, energy transition, and unlocking growth in small and medium enterprises.

 

Before starting his MBA, he spent three years working in France and Canada for Boston Consulting Group as a management consultant and project leader advising and supporting leading multi-national companies on critical strategic, operational and organizational issues. Before that, Francisco worked as an engineer in Central Africa as on-site technical lead for TOTAL’s largest operated asset, and in Paris in TOTAL’s headquarters as part of the Geoscience team for new Upstream developments. He was responsible for evaluating early and late stage Oil & Gas investment projects across several geographies.

 

After his high school studies in Spain, Francisco decided to pursue his higher education studies into the French engineering “Grandes Ecoles”. In 2011, he graduated with an Award of Distinction from Mines ParisTech, one of France’s top engineering school, with a Master of Science. In 2012, he obtained a second master’s degree with Highest Honors from Imperial College London after receiving a scholarship from the TOTAL Foundation.

 

In 2019 he received La Caixa Foundation Fellowship for postgraduate studies, as well as the Real Colegio Complutense Fellowship.
