This is an international professional orientation and development course that will take place in Boston from July 6 th to July 14 th 2023. It is organized by Universidad Politécnica de Madrid in its Delegation for North America in collaboration with the UPM Leadership and Technology Center. The focus of the program is to provide Spanish students of engineering and architecture with the opportunity to learn about Boston Areas’ organizations, universities in the areas of sustainability and climate change, social innovation, entrepreneurship, professional development, industrial management, research and advanced studies.
These 10 days educational and inspirational program has been carefully curated to deepen into the unique Bostons’ Greater Area ecosystem. It includes the participation of over 25 speakers from universities such as MIT, Harvard University, Boston University or Tufts University, nonprofits or commissions - Innovation Network for Communities and Boston Green Ribbon, Corporations - Banco de Santander, BIAL Biotech Investments Inc, Verizon Business Group, and entrepreneurs - ORI, Lighthouse DIG, AirStat, Medical Therapeutics and Zenón Biotech or CitiVitae. Lectures are combined with visits to worldwide reference centers and laboratories, among others the MIT MediaLab, Mit.nano, MIT Plasma Science and Fusion Center, Verizon Innovation Labs or the BU Center for Computing & Data Sciences.
All the students taking part in the UPM Tech Boston experience have been enrolled in the UPM during their Bachelor and/or Master program with different disciplines. This year will participate 16 students from the fifth edition of the International Master of Leadership for Engineers and Architects.
