In this talk, the speaker will unveil the characteristics of the “Lecturer in Discipline” position in Higher Education. She will first provide an overview of the origins and development of the position and its characteristics. Then, discuss the most valuable skills for a Lecturer’s career and finish by examining the job search and hiring process.

Linked to the Postdoc Seminar in Innovative Teaching, different talks will be held at RCC concerning strategies for predocs and postdocs to be successful in the job market. The aim of this initiative is to show the best ways to improve your skill set and to develop ideas and mechanisms in both Spain and US.
