Are you working at your best? - Whilst it may not appear so at first glance, the answer to this question has ethical implications.

Work is a hinge upon which life turns. Leading a good life of integrity requires working and studying well. In academic and professional contexts, we not only have the opportunity to do fulfilling work -- we also have duties. In particular, employees should do their best work, and help solve the problems of their company and their community, while companies should engage their employees with meaningful work, helping them to grow and serve.

BusinessIn his upcoming talk, Sharif Younes, a software engineer in the Boston-area and a professional mentor, will explore these issues through the lens of optimal work. First he will show you how to turn each hour of work into a “golden hour” of focus. Then he will address how to use these techniques to fulfill the obligations of academic and professional life and find deeper meaning in your study and work.

Speaker: Sharif Younes, Mentor in the Elmbrook Professional Mentoring Program, based out of Cambridge MA.

Co-sponsors: RCC; Chair of Business Ethics IECO-UV and Abigail Adams Institute.
