RCC is pleased to announce this lecture by Professor Alan E. Smith, from the Romance Studies Department at Boston University.
In more than 1200 letters written by Benito Pérez Galdós, this recognized master of the modern Spanish novel and prominent leader in the progressive movements of his time reflects on the nature and purpose of art and the novel, as well as the political and religious struggles of the Spanish people and his own capacity for friendship and love.
The event is organized by the Spanish Cultural Association in Boston. Professor Smith will deliver his talk in Spanish.
