Common Academic English Language Challenges of Spanish Speakers

Many challenges in acquiring foreign language skills are specific to one's native language, especially in terms of tendencies to translate. 

In this presentation, we will examine some common grammatical and vocabulary difficulties which Spanish speakers have in using academic English in speaking and writing, with the goal of providing guidance on how to refine one's fluency in English. Attendees' English questions and active participation are encouraged.
