RCC is honored to announce this event that celebrates the publication of Andreu Mas-Colell's book General Equilibrium and Game Theory, by Harvad University Press.

Andreu Mas-Colell is a Professor of Economics at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona. He revolutionized our understanding of competitive markets, price formation, and the behavior of market participants. Addressing central questions of finance, trade, industrial organization, and welfare economics, this book shows the surprising power and versatility of differentiability and linear-space mathematical techniques, and he emphasizes the fruitfulness of cooperative game-theory approaches, such as Shapley value theory and the Bargaining Set, for understanding competition and distribution.

Introduction by Hugo F. Sonnenschein, Charles L. Hutchinson Distinguished Service Professor at the University of Chicago. Appendix by Antoni Bosch-Domènech, Professor of Economics at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona, Xavier Calsamiglia, Professor of Economics at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona, and Joaquim Silvestre, Professor of Economics at the University of California, Davis.
