Apunts de Llengua: Television, Minoritized Languages, and New Pathways for Language Learning through Videotutorials

Apunts de Llengua is an ambitious language-learning platform created by the Valencian regional government (Spain) and its public broadcaster, aimed at fostering the learning of the territory’s official minoritized language and, building on this, English, through audiovisual materials. Drawing on TV archives as well as original video productions, it currently brings together more than 3,000 didactic resources. After a brief international contextualization, this talk mainly examines Apunts de Llengua’s origins, design principles, and learning pathways, as a public-media language platform for a minoritized language. https://www.apuntsdellengua.es/
