RCCHU Neuroscience International Seminars: II. Alzheimer Dementia – Challenges of the Clinical and Pathological Approach
Date and Time
Location
In this seminar, we will approach to different types of dementia and how clinicians differentially diagnose them by using clinical cases. Focusing on Alzheimer disease, we will learn the specific symptoms, what is happening inside to Alzheimer patient’s brains and how can we detect these changes during lifetime.
We will also discuss brain changes occurring on “resilient people” to Alzheimer disease and question its basic understanding, looking into alternative hypothesis, which together with novel methodologies as expansion microscopy and artificial intelligence, could help to decipher this devastating pathology.
