Fourth-year student at Harvard Medical School
Soraya Azzawi is a fourth-year student at Harvard Medical School whose professional interests lie at the intersection of global health, refugee health and enhancing access to healthcare systems. She completed her undergraduate education at the University of California, Irvine, where she received dual bachelor degrees in Neurobiology and Political Science, as we as a Certificate in Conflict Resolution. After graduating, she traveled to Jordan on a Fulbright Research Fellowship to study the psychosocial health of urban refugees. While at Harvard Medical School, she continued to build on previous global health field work experience through the Center for Global Health Delivery- Dubai Fellowship. Supported by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid Erasmus Program, Soraya completed an away rotation at an urban primary care center in Madrid, Spain. Beyond the classroom and the research laboratory, Soraya enjoys practicing the viola and playing soccer.
