Santiago Botella is a Harvard Business School MBA Candidate of the class of 2020. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Law and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Valencia. As part of his undergraduate education, he studied abroad in the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2011 and in the University of Wollongong (Australia) in 2012. Plus, from 2015-2016, he obtained a Master in Employment Law from the Centro de Estudios Financieros.
Prior to joining Harvard Business School, Santiago worked as Employment Lawyer in Uría Menéndez in Valencia (Spain) for 5 years, where he provided employment-related legal advisory services to HR Managers and CHROs in the banking, pharma, telecom and automotive industries, and advised private equity firms in legal employment aspects of investments. He also spent 6-months in London working as Associate Lawyer in the Employment, Labor and Equalities Department at Gowling WLG.
Since 2015, he has worked as part-time lecturer in “EDEM: Escuela de Empresarios” teaching business law courses. Moreover, Santiago has been actively collaborating with the Fundación Profesor Uria helping in the reinsertion of young offenders in Valencia (Spain).
