 Marta López (Madrid, Spain) is a Researcher in the Renal Division of Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School. There, she is leading a project on the differentiation of induced pluripotent stem cells into human kidney organoids for tuberous sclerosis disease modeling.

 Marta holds a bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering and a Master´s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. She has worked in several laboratories such as GSOLFA (Chemistry School-UCM), Institute of Polymer Science and Technology (ICTP-CSIC), Center of Biomedical Technology (CTB-UPM), IdiPaz. In the last year of her Master's, she was awarded a scholarship for research at Harvard, and after finishing it, she has continued working at Harvard as a researcher on her disease modeling project.

 Apart from science, she is really interested in leadership and politics, and loves music.
