Margarita San Andrés Moya
Doctor in Chemistry from the UCM and Professor (accredited to Chair) of the Department of Painting and Conservation-Restoration of the Faculty of Fine Arts.
Her teaching and research activity focuses on the application of experimental sciences in the material study of cultural heritage, its conservation and restoration. She is co-author of 150 publications and 5 patents. She has participated in 20 research projects, in 12 as Principal Investigator. She is Director of the UCM Research Group "Documentation, Conservation and Heritage Restoration Techniques".
She is Director of the Materials Laboratory of the Faculty of Fine Arts, certified under ISO 9001:2015 and integrated into the Network of Laboratories and Infrastructure of the Community of Madrid (Lab 397). She has directed 10 Doctoral Theses. Since 2011 she has been an elected member representing the Universities node of the Executive Committee of the TechnoHeritage Network of Excellence. She has been Vice-rector of University Extension and Academic Secretary of the Faculty of Fine Arts.
