Helena Casademunt is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Physics at Harvard University. In 2019, she received her Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Princeton University, with a Certificate in Applications of Computing. At Princeton, she worked in Prof. Athanassios Panagiotopoulos’s group, researching liquid-liquid phase separation of intrinsically disordered proteins. She studied how sequence affects the phase behavior of proteins by performing molecular dynamics simulations of a coarse-grained model based on hydrophobic and hydrophilic interactions of residues. At Harvard, she is interested in doing research in the area of biophysics for her PhD.
