The Spain Caucus and the Latinx Caucus are proud to invite Daniel Ureña, from the Hispanic Council, to spark a discussion about the historical use of the Spanish Language in U.S. elections. In this session, we will explore how the role of the Spanish language has involved and been utilized to galvanize the Hispanic vote in the United States.

From Jackie Kennedy to Tim Kaine, U.S. politicians have throughout history recognized the important role of the language and of Hispanic voters in deciding election results. Mr. Ureña is a partner and director general of MAS Consulting Group, director of the Hispanic Council, professor at Universidad Pontificia Comillas, and president of the Association of Political Communication (ACOP) in Spain. Coffee and light snacks will be provided.
