This seminar presents a methodological approach to the study of health inequalities through the integration of social determinants of health, mixed-methods research, and implementation science. Its primary objective is to examine how complex clinical and community-based challenges -such as barriers to healthcare access, discontinuity of care, social vulnerability, and suboptimal patient experiences- can be translated into feasible, sustainable, and rigorously evaluable interventions in real-world settings.

The session will address key conceptual and methodological frameworks, including approaches to the design and evaluation of complex interventions. Particular emphasis will be placed on the intersection of public health, health equity, person-centered care, and the translation of evidence into clinical and community practice.
