SUMMARY:Quantum Dot Light-Emitting Diodes - Towards a Bright and Energy-Efficient Future
DESCRIPTION:
Quantum Dot Light-Emitting Diodes (QLEDs) present exciting possibilities for next-generation display technologies owing to their high brightness and wide color gamut, potential for low power consumption and fast response times. I will present my research on transport layer, ligand, and interfacial engineering for improving the brightness and quantum efficiencies of QLEDs, including bottom-up engineering of the quantum dot to the film and device level. I will share the process challenges and design improvements along the way that enabled performance breakthroughs in the devices, as well as outlook for the future.

Speaker: Gillian Shen

Affiliation: University of Washington (PhD) and Applied Materials, Inc.

<drupal-media data-entity-type="media" data-entity-uuid="80550fd4-0ee7-4845-b941-d20fa958592a" data-view-mode="hwp_medium" data-align="center"> </drupal-media>
