Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic neurodegenerative disease which prevalence is considerably high worldwide prevalence. The classical biomedical model had focused mainly on the negative consequences of symptoms and disability impairments in patients. As psychological, biological, and social variables are related in human life, new approaches are trying to explore the experience of living with MS from a wider perspective.
We will discuss the importance of feelings, emotions, coping strategies, and self-regulation in MS disease. Furthermore, we will learn about posttraumatic growth, positive consequences derived from undergoing MS.
