DESCRIPTION:<p>	The origins of chaos date back to the 1960s, when Edward Lorenz first reported the popular butterfly effect in a simplified atmospheric model. Since then, chaos theory has permeated every scientific discipline: heart rates, neuronal activity, stock markets or celestial mechanics are just some examples where dynamical chaos arises.</p><p style="text-align: center;">	<drupal-media data-entity-type="media" data-entity-uuid="0a9123b5-078f-4db3-8be6-ff7eb4d90ac3"></drupal-media></p><p>	However, for many scientists, chaos theory still evokes a mysterious picture where abstract equations and pop culture images blend together. In this talk, we will debunk some of the myths related to chaos, providing precise insight through simple experiments and explanations.
