During his presentation, Alarcon will give an overview of research methodologies in interdisciplinary studies at the intersection of arts and humanities with science and technology.

His research focus is on the material history of computer-generated graphics and how the interface informs the construction of cultural techniques. Alarcon is intrigued by the importance of the technical specificity of post-photographic image production in contemporary visual culture.
