**This event will be in Spanish**

Throughout much of the twentieth century, numerous women played a fundamental role in the protection, conservation, and management of cultural heritage, although their contributions have remained largely absent from traditional historiographical accounts. This lecture analyzes the professional trajectories of several of these professionals and examines their contribution to the defense of collective memory, the safeguarding of heritage, and the development of cultural institutions in both Spain and the United States.
