“New fail for a drug under clinical trials against Alzheimer´s Disease”. This sentence sums up the search for treatments against Alzheimer´s in the past decades. Or at least, it did, since in the last few months there has been promising news about Alzheimer´s. You may wonder what is happening with this illness and if recent achievements are real progress. About 40-50 million people currently struggle with Alzheimer´s. As a neurodegenerative disease, it correlates with ageing, and in our old-growing world, it is bound to affect three times more people by 2050. Alzheimer´s will become not only a dramatic health-related issue but also a social and economic problem for developed countries. What is Alzheimer´s? Do we have a cure yet? Please, join us in this talk to find out more about this disease!
