RCC Postdoc Seminar: Jigsaw Strategy in Teaching

Location:

This will be a virtual event via Zoom

Americans have made a religion of winning. The economic system is based on competition and life is framed in competitive terms. This lifestyle is one of the causes of anxiety because we see each other as competitors and our performance is always being observed.

One of the major places where competition has been taught is the classroom. However, new teaching models are being implemented, like cooperative teaching.

The jigsaw strategy in teaching is a collaborative learning approach that was first developed by Elliot Aronson in 1971.
