 The process of teaching any subject involves the use of all resources available to get to an efficient/effective result. When dealing with teaching foreign languages (and language in general), we have

noticed that such an ancient and apparently well-known tool as a dictionary is not so well-known nor used efficiently by students. Do our students know what a dictionary has to offer them? A powerful world of words can be opened up in front of them. Dictionaries’ potential goes beyond meaning and equivalents. Words become influential elements of communication and their correct use is essential. Therefore, the dictionary can play an important role in the teaching-learning process of languages.
