RCC is pleased to announce this Leadership Survival Skills Workshop on The Search for Meaning at Work. This program is organized by the Harvard Kennedy School New England Alumni Association, and focuses on the development of the skills and strategies needed for addressing leadership challenges.

The Harvard Kennedy School has long stressed the importance of leadership in organizations, government, and business. Regardless of the leadership framework, theory, or practice one might embrace, continuing to explore leadership styles and capacity is critical in becoming effective and balanced in our approach to those with whom we interact. The Program is offered to all interested alumni and friends of the HKS.

Many people ask themselves: "Is my current job a burden or asset to my achieving happiness and feeling fulfilled?" "Who and what gives meaning to my work?" This workshop will address how to focus our work-related motivations to best achieve satisfaction and meaning. We will discuss how work contributes to our full personal development and - as leaders - the personal development of those around us.

Do you perceive your work as 'just a job', 'a career', 'a calling' or 'a higher calling'?
This workshop will reveal what motivates us at work!

Participants will take a short quiz (located here: https://findmeaningfulwork.com) at the beginning of the session designed to help each of us recognize our existing, work-related motivations. The quiz will take 7 to 10 minutes to complete. Armed with the quiz results, we will discuss how and where to find higher meaning in our daily work ... and, as leaders, how to help our colleagues find their own higher meaning - and flourish.
