How can your specific field in the humanities enrich and be enriched by interdisciplinary language programs related to it? Based on the success of the certificate in “Spanish for Health Care and Human Services Professionals” at Ramapo College of New Jersey, awarded two Undergraduate International Studies and Foreign Language grants and the publication of a broadly disseminated book (Cognella, 2022), you are invited to reflect on how the incorporation of narrative medicine and cultural agency extended from the certificate core course to a Collaborative Online International Learning program, enhancing nursing and pre-medical students’ understanding of psycholinguistics, aphasia and international health care systems.
