This conference aims at generating a space to analyze the main challenges of the region through a debate featuring the main political actors, social leaders, policy experts and practitioners, and scholars with a leadership position in Latin America. This is a platform to foster discussion and learning by encouraging the participation of students and faculty in Harvard and other institutions.

In this 5th edition, the Conference’s main topic will be Political Innovation, which will identify the main disruptive practices that aim at improving democratic processes, creating room for dialogue, collaboration and co-creation between the citizenry and governments. We will address different issues such as new civic activism processes, digital tools, open government platforms, new democratization processes and power decentralization, active inclusion of minorities, citizen activism networks, among others

The Conference will look for those practices that are helping to create an ecosystem of political innovation in the region, helping governments to be more transparent, participatory and inclusive, improving their democracies.
