 Judith Merkies is a former Member of the European Parliament for the Netherlands an experienced international lawyer specialized in European law and has worked in the private sector and in the European Commission before being elected to Parliament. In this talk, she will put a special focus: on the lack of public policy response to the impact on society by disruptive innovations.   
  
Alvaro Renedo Zalba is a Spanish career diplomat specialized in EU affairs. For the past 13 years, he served as Director of the Department of European Affairs and G20 in the Presidency of the Government of Spain. His current research project focuses on the ways to optimize efficiency in existing channels of diplomatic interlocution between the EU and the US administration.
