The COVID-19 Crisis: EU and Member-State Responses

One year into the COVID-19 pandemic, it is time to take stock of the responses of the EU and its member-states.

This seminar will consider the economic initiatives to combat the pandemic’s deleterious effects at both EU and national levels. It will also assess the EU’s institutional negotiations and the member-state politics involved. The panel will focus on Italy and Spain specifically to illustrate the latest controversy surrounding the vaccine roll-out across the European Union.
