The Christian temple is the place where Christian mysteries are brought up to date and celebrated within the liturgy of the Church, which ultimately makes it an authentic *locus theologicus.* The objective of this session is to take a closer look at the different features of Christian temples and how they enable the physical space to become something considered as sacred.

A church´s physical layout is intended to mirror Christ’s body as it assembles the celebrating Church that is fed from His dead and resurrected body and thus, needs to be studied in terms of its role as a vehicle for the faithful to engage in communion with God.
