RCC Chemistry Panel: Advanced Computational Methods for the Discovery of High-Performance Organic Semiconductors

The recent development of new materials based on organic semiconductor compounds shows a great promise in a wide range of advanced applications. For instance, new organic photovoltaic (OPV) materials constitute a very promising alternative for the development of highly efficient solar cells. Another relevant application is the design of new organic light-emitting diodes (OLED) for optoelectronic devices, such as high-resolution flat panel displays and lighting sources.
