Is a new Journal on Architecture and Critical Conservation Theory founded and edited by GSD students. This journal is born from the identification of a void in the conservation field and from the necessity and desire to fulfill it. Reduced to a technical task that ignores its philosophical dimension, or to aesthetic justifications that mask political decisions, the conservation practices have remained under-theorized for almost a century. We believe that prior to any material intervention there are epistemological assumptions that need to be revised in order to develop a richer or more productive understanding of the conservation field....
