Congratulations Estrella de Diego!

RCC is honored to announce that member of the RCC Academic Council Estrella de Diego, Professor of Art History at Universidad Complutense de Madrid, has been appointed member of the Spanish Academy of Fine Arts Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando.

Estrella de Diego is a professor of contemporary art at Madrid’s Complutense University and has been a guest lecturer at many universities in Spain and in other countries. She has held several posts throughout her career, including the King Juan Carlos I of Spain Chair in Spanish Culture and Civilization at New York University (1998-99). Her research focuses on gender theory, visual and postcolonial studies and the origins of modernity. She has curated many exhibitions, including Warhol on Warhol (La Casa Encendida, Madrid), and has written several books, such as Tristísimo Warhol (Editorial Siruela, Madrid, 1999).
